Marie Sherman, 96, of Ellisville, died Monday, September 7, 2015, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Lake Park Cemetery. Dr. Randy Turner will officiate.

Mrs. Sherman was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Laurel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eudell Sherman; son, Larry Sherman; and parents, A. C. Hitt and Lavada Scitzs Hitt.

Survivors include her niece, Patsy Smith (Richard) of Hattiesburg; two great nieces, Larisha Glover and Shannon Davis both of Hattiesburg; and four first cousins, Billie Parker of Laurel, Kenneth Ray Scitzs of Laurel, Frankie Bailey of Ellisville and Bill Scitzs of Lucedale.
