Genrose M. Miller, daughter of Andrew and Anna (Michels) Dhein, passed away on September 7, 2015 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Sheboygan Falls. She was born on May 19, 1915 in Kiel, Wisconsin. Genrose graduated from Kiel High School in 1933 and attended St. Agnes School of Nursing in 1934. She married Norbert H. Miller at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Kiel. The coupled celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1984. After her family was grown, Genrose was employed in the office of Dr. J. P. Guenver as a receptionist and optometrist assistant for 13 years. Genrose was a longtime member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the Christian Womens Society of the parish and a member of the prayer line for many years. She was also a member of the Kiel Study Club for over 50 years and still active in 2008, and was a member of the Kiel Historical Society, where she served on the Board of Directors for over 10 years. An avid reader of many books, Genrose also enjoyed knitting, cross-stitching, ceramics and sewing. She also enjoyed watching Brewer and Packer games. Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Douglas (Richard), and daughter-in-law, Lynne Miller. She is further survived by grandchildren, Anne Moore (Brian), Jon Vollmar (Sue), Steve Vollmar, Leslie Lange (John), Susan Westcott (Jeff), Sharon Erickson (Don) and Joan Garvens, great grandchildren, Kathryn and Elizabeth Moore, Nicolas Vollmar, Bobby Vollmar, Jenna and Sierra Lange, Nicole and Amanda Westcott, Tyler and Carter Erickson and Jake, Josh and Luke Garvens. Also surviving is a sister, Virginia (Melvin) Bartelt, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert in 1988, one daughter, Nancy Vollmar in 2000, one son, Glen in 2005 one sister, Grace in 2010 and one brother Francis in 2009. The funeral Mass for Genrose will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 413 Fremont St., Kiel with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Genrose's family would like to thank the kindness and friendship of staff and residents of Willowpark Place Assisted Living where she resided from 2011 to the present.
