Mr. Ernest Peters, Jr., age 95, passed away on Sunday evening, September 7, 2015, at Perfect Care.

Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9, at Central Baptist Church, with interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Central Baptist Church, between the hours of 1:00 & 2:00 PM.

Born October 8, 1919 in Solingen, Germany, he was a son of the late Ernst Peters, Sr. and Rosalie Helene Hedwig Peters. Mr. Peters was a Locomotive Engineer for 35 years, retiring in 1981 from CSX Railroad. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, and a member of the Flintstone Campers and UTU Railroad Union. Mr. Peters was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, having served from 1942 until 1945 and having achieved the rank of Sergeant.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Luvenia Kearns Peters.
