Harriet Edith Robinson, passed peacefully on September 2, 2015, among family at Henrico Doctors Hospital.

She was born on March 26, 1942, to the late Howard and Sarah Johnson in Rockville, VA.

After completing her education at John M. Gandy High School and giving birth to her first son Alphonso, Harriet, affectionately known by many as "Pitty Pat", moved to New York, NY in 1963 where she attended Lagree Baptist Church. During this time, she met and fell in love with Taylor Robinson, Sr., and his daughter Michelle. Harriet and Taylor married in August of 1971. From their union, a son and a daughter, Taylor Jr. and Monisha Robinson, were born.

Harriet spent several years taking care of homes. She took pride in her work and brought warmth everywhere she went.

Many who had the pleasure of knowing "Pitty Pat" speak of her beautiful soul and how she highly influenced their lives. She is described as having a heart of gold, always opening her home and offering her amazing smile to those around her.

Harriet had many interests, including watching her favorite soap operas, rooting for the Mets, playing card games, dancing, entertaining, cooking, and having a good time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed her bonding time with her sisters by traveling, shopping, eating and hanging out at Wally World.

In 2004, Harriet returned to Virginia to be reunited with her family. She became a member of St. Mark Baptist Church. As a faithful member, Harriet served on the missionary ministry and hospitality committee.
