In 1950, she moved to the Beaverton, Oregon area and then to King City, Oregon. She was a member of King City Golf Club, Portland Heights Dance Club, the Oregon Symphony Auxiliary and the Portland Golf Club.
Lorna married Harold E. Carey in 1992.
