The pioneer Bosenko family were mainly sheepmen. Buried here is Henry Charles Bosenko and his wife Ella. Henry was the son of Captain H. Bosenko of Cottonwood, a sheepman. Another Bosenko family member owned a hotel/rooming house on Main Street in Cottonwood for a number of years. It stood on the north side of where Roger's Frosty is located until it was demolished to make way for the gas station that's located there now. The majority of the Bosenko clan lived in Tehama County where they raised sheep. Today, the old family ranch still exists in Tehama County but is no longer ranched by the Bosenko's, instead, it is leased out to others.
