She was born April 4, 1909, in Pierceville to Walter and Anna Immroth Brennaman. A resident of Garden City since 1917, she had recently moved to Tulsa to be with her daughter.
Mrs. Pounds had been a hostess at the V Door Cafe and later worked as a clerk in the service department at Sears for 17 years. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, Senior Center of Finney County and the Historical Society, all at Garden City. She enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, oil painting, gardening, collecting cookbooks and attending garage sales.
On Dec. 1, 1929, she married Chester "Chet" Pounds in Garden City. He died June 20, 1974, in Garden City. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Pounds; two brothers, Wayne and Bus Brennaman; three sisters, Ann Whitman, Mary Isabel Cross and Bertha McGaughey; and a grandson, Keith Alan Richmeier.
Survivors include a daughter, Judi Joann Richmeier of Tulsa; a brother, Fred Brennaman of Garden City; three sisters, Imogene Quint and Marjorie Morgan, both of Garden City, and Deloris Wilson of Kansas City, Kan.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
