Henrietta Lipinski Hawkins, 73, of Fairmont lost her courageous fight against cancer on Sunday, September 6, 2015. She was born in Monongah, on January 27, 1945. She is the daughter of the late Henry “Cheese” Lipinski and Goldie DeFazio Lipinski, currently of Pleasant Acres Assisted Living in Fairmont.

She is survived by her loving husband, Fred Hawkins Jr., whom she married on October 31, 1968 and shared almost 48 years of wonderful memories. She is also survived by her two daughters; Laura Hawkins of Elkins and Lisa Hawkins Saenz (and husband Joel) of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She has two grandsons-Justin and Lane Saenz. Her sisters, who all reside in Monongah, are; Joyce Evans (and husband Donnie), Judy Cook (husband Mickey), and Sandra Hawkins (husband Chuck). Henrietta has several nieces and nephews as well as DeFazio and Lipinski cousins.

Friends and family may call from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue, Fairmont, a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Deacon Louis Belldina officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Fairmont on Thursday at 10 a.m with Father Walter Jagela as celebrant. Burial will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Grafton.
