Gene Ralph Dyer, age 72, died April 6, 1996 at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born February 24, 1924 in Salt Lake City to Ralph W. and Bertha Emond Dyer. Married Donna J. Pasch, September 22, 1961 in Salt Lake City.Graduated from South High School and the University of Utah. Served with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and Korean War, receiving an honorable discharge in 1958. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. Retired from Mountain Fuel in 1983 after 30 years in management positions. Lifetime member of the Pacific Coast Gas Association. Member and past-president of Oakridge Country Club. Member of the U of U Crimson Club and an avid fan of U football. Member of the Salt Lake B.P.O. Elks Lodge #85, serving as Exalted Ruler and also as District Deputy. Member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Salt Lake City.

Survivors include his wife of Salt Lake City; daughters, Christine McCambridge (John), Austin, Texas; Anita Stephens (James Turner), Accokeek, MD; and Sherry Dyer, Salt Lake City; grandsons, Jason and Jordan McCambridge, Austin, Texas; Kevin McCarthy, Sunnyvale, Calif.; and Cory McCarthy, Ft. Huachuca, Arizona; mother of Salt Lake City; and a sister, Virginia Dyer, Denver, Colorado. Preceded in death by his father; and a sister, Joyce Burt.

Funeral services Wednesday, April 10th, at 12 Noon, Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Tuesday evening 6-8 p.m., and Wednesday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family suggests donations to your favorite charity.
