MERIDEN - Marion (Cotter) Klinski, 86 of 57 Murray St., former wife of Henry Klinski, died on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008.

Born in Hartford, on May 18, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William B. Cotter, Sr. and Johanna (Somariva) Cotter and had resided in Meriden since 1932. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School, class of 1935 and Meriden High School, class of 1939. Mrs. Klinski was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church, a member of Breakthrough on Aging, the Salvation Army, The Bible Society, The Meriden Council of Catholic Women, Trans World Radio and of the St. Agnes Home. She made many contributions and donations. She was also a Girl Scout Leader for St. Rose Troop 4.

Mrs. Klinski is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Maryellen Schyuler of San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. Carmen (Laura) Lombardo of Sneads Ferry, N.C., Mrs. Greg (Joanne) Sita of Newton Grove, N.C., and Elizabeth Klinski of Meriden; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David Klinski and his wife, Kathy (Keanealy) of Meriden and Jonathan Klinski and his fiancée, Darlene Kanawall of Middletown; she is also survived by five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jane F. Cotter of Meriden and Sister Jacoba Rzegocki of the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist in Meriden; brother, Dr. William B. Cotter, Jr. and his wife, Alice (Wendt) Cotter of North Charleston, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother and his wife, Robert and Gerry Cotter, and by their daughter and her husband, Kathleen and Michael Williams; and by one sister, Anne (Cotter) Smith.

The family would like to thank St. Francis Hospital and Dr. John Rogers for all their care and support.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist, 267 Finch Avenue, Meriden, CT 06451. Arrangements are under the directions of the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, 06450 www.jferryfh.com.
