William Oscar Price was born 18 Jun 1837: he was the son of Alfred Price (1808 – 1879.) His mother was Alfred Price's first wife, Mariah Ann Cook Price. She died just 9 days after his birth on 27 Jun 1887 in Hinds Co., MS.

DEATH
Sharpsburg, Washington, Maryland, USA Died during the American Civil War at the Battle of Antietam (or Battle of Sharpsburg) fought in the vicinity of Antietam Creek, --- the single bloodiest day of the American Civil War and all of American military history, seeing nearly 23,000 casualties.

BURIAL
Sharpsburg, Washington, Maryland- Eighth of eleven buried in N.E. corner of Mrs. Lucker's house-field, commencing at an old road and running along the southern edge of woods. Some boards still here. (Markers, as of 1869).

RE-INTERRD
Hagerstown, Washington, Maryland- Re-interred in the Washington Confederate Cemetery inside Rose Hill Cemetery.
