William Simas of 4 Lee Terrace, formerly of 38 Granite Street, died Saturday at Morton Hospital following a long illness. He was 66. He had worked as a band saw operator at F.B. Rogers Silver Company for 29 years until his retirement two years ago. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church. Born in East Taunton, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Dupont) Simas.
Survivors include a brother, Charles Simas of Middleboro; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Rose and Mrs. Anna Almeida, both of Taunton; and several nephews and nieces.
