James Crafton, 70, of Russellville, died Saturday, September 5, 2015, at his home. He was born April 4, 1945, in Springfield, Missouri. He attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and worked for many years as the manager of the Russellville Safeway Store. He was also employed at the Department of Health and Human Services for the Child Support Unit and retired from Arkansas Tech University. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Russellville, president of the Russellville Kiwanis, a 32nd Degree Mason, served on the board of the Parks and Recreation Commission, was a member of the Army Reserves, a youth baseball coach, and volunteered for many committee projects throughout Russellville. He was awarded the Citizen of the Year for the City of Russellville.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at the Shinn Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Stephen Davis. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Active pallbearers will be Joey Jones, Keith Helton, David Yount, Bryant Richardson, Kendall Apple and Buddy Warner. Honorary pallbearers will be the Chain Gang Crew.
