Born September 17, 1952 in Uniontown, PA to Orlando and Edna Grace (Loughner) Pierre, he was an active member of the United States Air Force until honorably discharged in 1973.
Dave worked many years for Preston Trucking in West Middlesex, PA before relocating to Columbus.
A motorcycle enthusiast, Dave loved riding with his son. His prized possession was a 1996 Harley-Davidson Softail Custom.
He is survived by his daughters, Tanya Cline and Angela (Eric) Baker; son, David (Shannon) Pierre, Jr.; five grandchildren, Isabella, Evan, Cooper, Page and Kaylin; step-mother, Jane Pierre; sister, Goldie (Hubert) Miller; brother, Anthony "Tony" (Delores Cox) Pierre and sister, Mary (Grover) Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Samuel Pierre, Sr. and nephew, Samuel Pierre, Jr.
A memorial service will be held in his hometown at Aliquippa Free Methodist Church on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m. with burial and military honors to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
