Mildred was born July 12, 1923 on a farm near Laurel, one of seven children of George and Elva Wyatt Wilson and attended school in Buena Vista. On January 4, 1946, she was married to Opal Burch at the First Baptist Church in Connersville. Mildred had worked at the envelope factory in West Carrollton, Ohio and had been employed as a sales clerk at George’s Pharmacy in Brookville for “35 very good years.” She was a member of the Connersville Baptist Temple and liked to read and correspond with her many friends and family. She enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her flower gardens. Most of all, she enjoyed her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were all very special to her. Mildred was also an avid collector of anything that had to do with "frogs."

Mildred is survived by two: daughters-in-law: Lettie Burch of Union, Kentucky and Nancy Burch of Connersville; four grandchildren and their spouses: Chris Burch of Verona, Kentucky; Shane Burch and Michelle of Hebron, Kentucky; Kristen Kehl and Adam; Shawn Burch and Angie Kidd, all of Connersville; eight grandchildren: Cole and Chad Burch of Verona, Kentucky; Madison and Braden Burch of Hebron, Kentucky; Alyshah and Kobe Kehl, Jadyn Burch, Ashlynn Kidd, all of Connersville; a sister: Virginia Fox of Rushville; cousins, nieces, nephews, a host of friends, very special neighbors, and three special guys in Mildred’s life: David Scott, Bill Handley and Brian Kays.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, her two sons: Ronald Burch and Joe Burch; two brothers: Bob Wilson and Earl Wilson; three sisters: Ruth Burch, Hazel Cornett and Mae Callihan.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Eric Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Brookville. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Monday until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the Connersville Baptist Temple, E.W.
