When Alice Burke was born on January 27, 1877, in Clinton, Massachusetts, her father, John Burke, was 30 and her mother, Bridget Head, was 33. She married William J. Fawcett on August 17, 1899, in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.

They had one child, Frederick S. Fawcett, during their marriage. William J. Fawcett disappears after the birth (as of Sept 2015 cannot find any evidence - info to [email protected] appreciated).

Frederick was left to the care of Alice's maternal aunt, Maria (nee Head) Glynn in Clinton, Mass.

Alice was a nurse and worked at different institutions in Massachusetts, including the Tewksbery State Hospital and the Brooks Hospital. Alice retired in 1946.

She died of a cerebral hemorrhage on January 1, 1951, in Brookline, Massachusetts, at the age of 73. Alice is buried in Plot S.G. 40 at Star of the Sea Cemetery, Marblehead, MA.
