John Lester "Buster" Barfield, Sr., died August 1, 2010, at his residence.
Mr. Barfield was born on November 10, 1921, in Taylor County, son of the late John Haney Barfield and the late Sarah Lou Theus Barfield. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WWII and was a member of Silvertown Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Duncan Barfield of Thomaston; son, John Lester "Johnny" Barfield, Jr. of Cochran; grandchildren, India Marie Barfield and John Lester "Les" Barfield III.
