Mrs. Williams was born in 1931 in Greensburg, Ky., to Charlie and Nina Caldwell. On Dec. 15, 1956, she married Elisha Williams in Toledo, Ohio. She devoted her life to making a loving and nurturing home for her family. She served on the Madison Elementary School PTA for 16 years. In her earlier years, she was a member of Progressive Baptist Church, Davenport, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, Elisha; their children, Larry (Patricia) Williams, Dyersburg, Tenn., Gail (Bob) Page, Peachtree City, Ga., Chuck (Linda) Williams, West Des Moines, Iowa, Ramona (Larry) Smith, Davenport, Iowa, Pam (Barry) Smith, Suwanee, Ga., and Jerry (Yasmin) Williams, Davenport, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, Chad, Bryce, Vaughn, Cameron, Whitney, Eric, Maya, Peyton, Aaron, Ashlyn, Logen, Jalynn and Carson; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Anna Bullitt, Louisville, Ky.; and brothers, Leroy Caldwell, Louisville, Ky., Charlie Caldwell Jr., Greensburg, Ky., Henry (Nannie) Caldwell and Nathan Caldwell, both of Louisville, Ky.; Aunt Rose Jemison, Toledo, Ohio, and Aunt Carrine Anderson, Louisville, Ky.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Willie, Paul and Joe; and sisters, May, Ella and Sarah.
