JESKE – Cora E., 89, Johnstown, died Sept. 5, 2015. She was born April 28, 1926, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Harry and Gertrude (Peer) Wisner. Preceded in death by her husband, William Carl Jeske, in 2006; her granddaughter, Melissa; and 11 brothers and sisters. Cora was the last survivor of her immediate family. She is survived by her sons, William, married to Claire L. (Howarth), and Carl, married to Sherry L. (Reed), both of Johnstown; grandchildren, Florence Schlosser, William Jeske, Renee Bailey, Carl Jeske and Betty Beaner; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Cora was a member of Church of the Nazarene and lived a Christian life. Her joys were her grandchildren, cherishing the time spent with them, and cooking and baking, either at restaurants, but especially for family dinners, and she loved to sing around the house. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd., where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment, Berkley Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice in Cora’s honor. (PTBMortuary.com)
