Evelyn Biellng Chance, 85, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011. Mrs. Chance was a native of Union County but had lived in Jacksonville for much of her life. She was a member of Hollyford Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, James L. Chance, Sr., a daughter, Sherrie Yarberry; a son, Nick Shaw; 2 granddaughters, Carlene Johns and Tammy Kitler; a great-grandson, Jason Johns; and a brother, Earl Bielling. Surviving family includes: a son, James L. (Darla) Chance, Jr.; 4 sisters, Ann Taylor, Mary Prestwood, Marge (Bob) Teston, and Frances (Junior) Willis; 4 brothers, J. D. Bielling, Ellis (Estelle) Bielling, Carl (Pauline) Bielling and J. W. (Joanna) Bielling; a sister in law, Mamie Bielling; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 12 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave. with Rev. David Beckham officiating. Interment will follow at Ferreirra Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. The family wishes to give a special thank you to her caregivers, Richelle, Randy, Martha, Clyde and Shelia.
