Theodore Edward Wherry, Jr. died September 3, 1990 in a Salt Lake hospital, after a long illness.

He was born June 14, 1942 in Salt Lake City to Theodore Edward Wherry and Lucile McDonald Wherry. He married Ruth Isenhour on June 5, 1965 in Salt Lake City.

Ted attended the University of Utah and was a graduate of Westminster College. He had a long career with Utah Job service. He had many years involvement with Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts. He was a 32nd Degree Mason in Wasatch Lodge #1 at the Salt Lake El Kalah Temple and a Templar Knight in York Rite with Midvale/Park City Lodge. Ted was proud to be a Shrine Clown and was also actively involved with Jobs Daughters.

Ted is survived by his wife, Ruth Wherry and children James and Anita Wherry; father, Ted E. Wherry, Salt Lake City; sister, Gayle Ann Wherry Johansen, all of Salt Lake City; also survived by nephews, Jeffrey and Sean and niece, Jessica.

Graveside services will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Thursday, September 6, 1990 at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers friends may make contributions to Intermountain Unit of Shriners Hospital.
