Constance Hoyt, 82, died Sunday in Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in South Yarmouth under Hospice Care, after a long illness. She was the wife of E. Donald Hoyt for over 60 years.
Mrs. Hoyt was born in Melrose and raised in Worcester. She was a graduate of Classical High School and attended Bradford Jr. College. After her marriage in l943 Mrs. Hoyt lived in Southbridge, MA, Petersberg, VA, and the Worcester, MA area until moving to Cape Cod in 1982.
She was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, and a volunteer at Cape Cod Hospital for over 10 years. She was an avid golfer and liked needle work, bridge and reading.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, E. Donald Jr. and a daughter in law, Sandra L. of South Yarmouth, a granddaughter Dawn D. of Beverly, a grandson, Scott M. and a great grandson, Cristian T., both of Cranston, RI. She is also survived by a sister, Carolyn K. of Worcester, MA.
