Anthony “Tony” Sperito Berardi, 89, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015.

Tony was born August 5, 1926 in Des Moines to Vincenzo and Isabella (Nigro) Berardi.

Tony will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.

In 1952, he along with his brother John, established Berardi Bros. Custom Tailors. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincenzo and Isabella Berardi; brother, John Berardi; and his great-grandson, John Anthony Berardi II.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Road. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or St Anthony Catholic Church.
