Jean Pearson was born to William and Mae (Broman) Peterson on September 12, 1920 in Willmar. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church, where she and her family attended regularly. Growing up Jean attended Willmar schools and Graduated from Willmar High School in 1938. On September 21, 1941, Jean married Randall M. Pearson Sr. at Bethel Lutheran Church. They briefly lived in Willmar together before they moved to Denver, Co, in 1942, due to Randall being in the Army. After living there for a year they decided to move back to Minnesota where they lived in Montevideo, Glenwood and Appleton from 1944 to 1950. They finally moved back to Willmar where they made their home. During this time Jean was a homemaker, where she enjoyed spending time with her children. Jean enjoyed singing; she was active in the Bethel Cathedral Choir for many years and she was also a member of two ladies quartets, The 4 Sons and the Sweet Adelines. She also enjoyed gardening, neighborhood coffee parties, baking, especially her rhubarb jam, and also volunteering at various organizations. She enjoyed helping out Meals-On-Wheels.
Jean is survived by her son: Ranny Jr. (Sharon) Pearson of San Tan Valley, AZ; daughter-in-law, Eunice Pearson of Willmar; grandchildren: Dale Pearson of Sheridan, MT, and his daughter, Ceranda, Angie (Jeff) Love of Crestview, FL, and their daughter, Ashley (Brad) Plesz of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by her sisters: Shirley Roisum and Myrle Hanson both of Willmar.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ranny Sr.; son: Gary; parents, William and May Peterson and brother: Roger Peterson.
