John died 25 January 1893, age 77, at Paris, Lamar Co., Texas and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery. He married Mary Polly Parmley, daughter of Robert Parmley and Barbara Adair. Polly was born 19 March 1816 Wayne and died 21 Jan. 1906 in Austin, Texas and is buried beside her husband. Soon after their marriage, John and Polly moved to Clinton Co., Ky., where they were living in 1840. About 1852, they migrated to Paris, Texas, where they remained until they died. In the 1870 census of Lamar Co., Johns’ occupation is listed as Physician with $5000 in Real Estate and $500 personal money... (My records indicate Isabella Ryan, the daughter of Dr. John B. Handwritten note: Coach team balked, PB had to get out in mud, Howard paid half price $2.50.
