Steve Milton Jackson, Sr., 71, died Saturday, September 5, 2015. Graveside services will be held at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at 10:00 AM. The family will greet friends on Sunday, September 6, 2015 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Hart’s Mortuary, Cherry Street.
Mr. Jackson was a 1962 graduate of Willingham High School and served in the U.S. Army in the 1st Battalion 501st Infantry Third U.S. Army. He retired from UPS after 30 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #728. Mr. Jackson was a Methodist and active member of the Ocmulgee Gun Club. He was the son of the late Margaret and Ralph Jackson.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his sons, David M. Jackson (Ginny) of Madison, Mississippi, and Steve M. Jackson, Jr. (Valerie) of Panama City, Florida; grandchildren, Ashley Jackson of Warner Robins, Jeremy Jackson of Madison, Mississippi, Hayleigh Jackson and Steve M. Jackson, III, both of Panama City; and two sisters, Connie Arnold (Royce) and Janice Jackson.
Hart’s Mortuary Downtown has charge of arrangements.
