Edward E. Lumbert

Edward Eugene Lumbert, 77, died at Cape Cod hospital, late Saturday after a short illness. A native of Falmouth, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lumbert, who were both also born in Falmouth.

A retired painting contractor, he was a member of the Succannessett club. He passed all his life in Falmouth.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth (Robinson) Lumbert; three sons, Carleton E. Lumbert, Winthrop B. Lumbert and Edward A. Lumbert, all of Falmouth; one daughter, Mrs. John Reynolds of Falmouth; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were from Elizabeth Parke Memorial chapel, Oak Grove cemetery, Tuesday afternoon, and burial was in Oak Grove cemetery. The Rev. Albert W. Jackson officiated. Pallbearers were Simeon W. Collins, Enoch I. Clegg, C. Elwood Eastman, Arthur W. Robichaud, Myron S. Lumbert and Chester C. Handy.
