Dennis Neal, 66, of Bedford, passed away at 1:57 a.m. on Friday at Indiana University Health Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born in Lawrence County on Feb. 17, 1949, to Vernon P. and Lois J. (Ritter) Neal. He graduated from Oolitic High School in 1967.

He was construction laborer with Labor Local No. 747 and was member of Dive Christian Church in Bedford.

Dennis married Renee Ray on May 6, 2000, in Bedford, and she survives

Survivors include his wife, Renee Ray of Bedford; one brother, Ron Neal and his companion Dorrine Theadore of Bedford; three stepsons, Michael (Marci) England of Mitchell, Matthew (Robyn) England of Mitchell, and J.D. (Cassie) England of Mitchell; and eight grandchildren.

Dennis was a talented musician; he loved his grandchildren, and was a wonderful Christian man.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Dive Christian Church in Bedford, burial will follow in Dive Cemetery

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the church

Cresthaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
