Mr. Gregory Thomas Rhodes, age 57, of Hazel, Kentucky, died Thursday, September 03, 2015 at his home after an extended illness.
Mr. Rhodes was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on October 1, 1957. Mr. Rhodes before coming ill was the owner and operator of Rhodes Used Cars in Murray, Kentucky. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Rhodes is preceded in death by his father, Charles Rhodes and his father-in-law, Sonny Lockhart.
He is survived by his wife, Lita Rhodes of Hazel, Kentucky, to whom he married on May 6, 1994; his mother, Nancy (Morton) Rhodes of Murray, Kentucky and her special friend, Gerald Paschall of Hazel, Kentucky; his children, Summer Dunn (Ashley) of Dexter, Kentucky, Melissa Bogard (Brad) of Dexter, Kentucky, Michael Rhodes of Texas, Cary Bogard of Murray, Kentucky, Terry Bogard( Angie) of Murray, Kentucky, Jason Greer (Courtney) of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Felecia Robertson ( Ed Jamerson) of Hazel, Kentucky; one brother, Roger Rhodes( Debbie) of Hazel, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Jayden, Jacey, Shawn, Brandon, Ethan, Parker and Avery; niece, Amber Eaves(Zack) of Paducah, Kentucky, nephew, Austin Eaves(Megan) of St. Louis, Missouri ;one great niece and two great nephews; and mother-in-law, Betty Lockhart of Murray, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at the Sinking Spring Baptist Church with Bro. Brett Miles and Bro. Charles Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the Sinking Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Sinking Spring Baptist Church.
