Mr. Robert Henry Wyche, was 84 years old when he entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 29, 2015. Robert Henry Wyche was born August 9, 1931 in York County, Virginia. He received his education in York County Public Schools and was a former employee of Virginia Electric Power Company for over 40 years. His greatest calling and the one he enjoyed the most was that of a father.
Robert married Mary D. Jones and to this union, they reared six children. He was a loving, caring and devoted husband and father. He had a strong spiritual foundation with a passion for Christ and made it known that you must live Holy. He was known to be soft spoken but firm and sharply observant of those in his presence. He was a frequent visitor of Boston Market and he loved to go to the local thrift stores.
Robert was a long time member of St. John C.O.G.I.C where he served faithfully as an usher and custodian until his health failed. He later joined True Victory Ministries-Hampton. He will be remembered for his quiet and gentle spirit. His sudden outburst at any moment “GLORY” will be missed.
He was born to the late Phillip and Theresa Wyche and is preceded in death by wife; Mary D. Wyche, two sons; Norris L. Seabron Jr; Robert W. Seabron and four siblings.
Robert Wyche leaves to celebrate his life, one daughter; Robin M. Ashe (Tony), three sons; Roderick S. Wyche (LaKysha), Elder Garry W. Seabron and Rev. Gerald T. Seabron. Two Sisters; Martha Wyche-Marrow and Frances Green-Wood, two Brothers; Edward Wyche and James Wyche, 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, 2 special god children; Chief Apostle Sharon and Apostle Aundre Spencer, host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A homegoing celebration will be held 11:00a.m. Saturday, September,5, 2015 at St. Johns COGIC 2416 Orcutt Ave.by Elder Samuel Green III.
Internment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Viewing will be held from Friday, September, 4, 2015 noon until 5:00p.m at the Funeral Home.
