"The Willis Family of Virginia" (1898) by Byrd Charles Willis and Richard Henry Willis, p. 55-56, gives her name as Jane Madison Willis, as do:

The 1850 census and the marriage record both appear to show her name as Jane W Willis, but possibly the written M resembled a W.
Married 23 Mar 1854 in Yalobusha County, Miss.

Her brother Preston Calhoun Willis married John Williams' first cousin, Mary Mayhew Ingram.
There were a number of other marriages between the Williams, Perry, and Willis families.

John Ben Perry did not locate markers for John Williams and Jane Madison Willis Williams in 1953-54. Elizabeth Bell Cook and Nora Williams Gibson both thought they were in the Willis Grove plantation cemetery where their infants were buried, although there were also unmarked or unreadable graves in the Williams family cemetery.
