"Janet Ann Horton, 71, of Coleman died Friday, September 4, 2015 at Coleman County Medical Center. Graveside service will be 9:00 a.m. Monday, September 7, 2015 at the Talpa Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Jeff Dean officiating. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

"Janet Ann Horton was born June 6, 1944 in Terrell, Texas to Felix Oday Horton and Hazel Olivera Horton. Janet grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School. She worked as a Certified Nurse Aide for 43 years at Overall-Morris Hospital and later for Coleman County Medical Center. Janet taught GA's and was active in the Girl Scouts. She was a member of North Coleman Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

"Survivors include her brother, Gary Horton and wife, Lori, of Cedar Park; sisters, Shirley Jenson of Austin, Mary Anderson and Ora Jane Anderson of Coleman; nephew, Walter Horton of Austin; nieces, Lisa Turner of Cedar Park, Jennifer Dawekins of Austin.

"She was preceded in death by her parents.

"Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman."
