Viola Perrigo, 94, Shelbina, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, at her home in Hannibal.
She was born in Holliday, Mo., on Feb. 29, 1908, the daughter of John Samuel and Nellie Pearl Palliser Blackwell.
She married Paul V. Perrigo on Sept. 19, 1928, in Moberly. He died on Jan. 6, 1995.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Paul Wesley Perrigo of Hannibal and Viola Irene Marrs of Hannibal; four step grandchildren, Julia Reckers of Payson, Ill., Laura R. Miller of Hannibal, Cindy McArthur Smith of Kansas City, and Carl E. McArthur of Hannibal; five great-grandchildren; ten step great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one half sister, Margery Johnston of Clarence; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Bobby P. Perrigo; two sisters, and two half brothers.
Mrs. Perrigo was a member of the Crooked Creek Baptist Church. She was a volunteer at the Senior Center and was an avid card player.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Aug. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Chapel in Shelbina with Bro. Howard Hartung officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Slope addition of the Shelbina Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday evening. Memorials may be made to the Shelbina Nutrition Center.
