James E. Krouse, 70, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at St. Anne Home and Retirement Community in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, James graduated from Central Catholic High School and went on to attend Purdue University for 1 year. After school, he served in the U.S. Army from 1966 - 1968. Later he worked in several departments at DANA for 42 years, retiring in 2011. He was a member of American Legion Post 499 and enjoyed watching Notre Dame football and IU basketball. He also enjoyed fishing at his lake cottage, golfing, and riding his bike. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Linda J. Krouse of Fort Wayne; son, Marc Krouse of Maumee, OH; daughter, Laura (Jeff) Ciocca of Huntertown, IN; grandchildren: Allison, Alexis, Nicholas, Samantha, Lucas, and Zachary; brothers: Robert (Cindy) Krouse, William (Rosemary) Krouse, Richard (Judy) Krouse, John Krouse, Steven (Margaret) Krouse, and Joseph (Karen) Krouse; sisters: Marjorie (Raymond) Meinerding, Kathleen (Kenneth) Magsam, Carol Alfeld, Theresa (Stanley) Wyss, and Diane (Samuel) Beck. James was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Margaret Krouse; and brother, Donald Krouse. Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:30 am, Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church with calling 1 hour prior. Calling also at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Tuesday, September 8, 2015, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Rosary Service beginning at 8:00 pm.
