John, the eldest son (of John Jr. and Amy Moore Leverich), married May 22, 1743, his step-sister* Elizabeth Sackett. He pursued his father's occupation, that of a mason, resided at Fishkill on the Hudson. He died in Newtown September 18, 1780, age 59, and his widow, September 6, 1809, age 89.
*Elizabeth's parents were John and Susannah (Field) Sackett. Upon the death of John Sackett, Susannah married John Jr. Leverich, 14 October 1741, being Susannah's second husband and she being John Jr.'s second wife. (thanks to Contributor: Ted Smith (46928243))
