Life Legacy

Dennis Blair, age 75, of Kanarraville, Utah, died Tuesday, September 1st, 2015, at Kolob Regional Care Center in Cedar City, Utah after a long battle with renal cancer.
Dennis was born on March 5th, 1940 to Marion and Christine (Kauer) Blair in Rib Lake, Wisconsin. He graduated from Rib Lake High School in 1958. Following his education he moved to Page, Arizona, and later to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he worked construction. He was married to Sandra Lee Rogers on November 20th, 1965 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had four sons, Dennis Daniel, Joseph Andrew, Jack Dean, and Richard Alan. Dennis and Sandra were later divorced. He then married the love of his life, Lylis Jensen on February 4th, 1977. They were sealed in the St. George temple on their first anniversary, and made their home in Kanarraville, Utah.
Dennis was an active member of the LDS church, and served in various callings. He loved antique cars, and was a current member of the Iron County Rodders. He also loved playing his guitar and banjo, and was a previous member of the Old Time Fiddlers Association.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Lylis, his four sons, Dan (Brenda) Blair of Las Vegas, Nevada, Andrew Blair of Kingman, Arizona, Jack (Roselyn) Blair of Ridgefield, Washington, Richard Blair of Kingman Arizona, a brother, Mike (Mok) of Layton, Utah, two sisters Carol and Ginger, ten grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Dennis was preceded death by his parents Marion and Christine Blair and his brother Glenn Blair.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Kanarraville LDS chapel (80 South Main Street). A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. Interment will be in the Kanarraville Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences can be made at www.sumortuary.com
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
The family would like to thank Home Health, Hospice, and Kolob Regional Care Center for the wonderful care they provided to Dennis during his illness, and to Southern Utah Mortuary.
