Patricia A. "Pat" Wenger, 66, formerly of 5755 Charlestown Road, Mercersburg, Pa., died on Sunday, July 30, 2006, in Manor Care Health Services of Chambersburg. Born on October 3, 1939, she was a daughter of the late J. Robert Hughes and Mary Susan (Dailey) Hughes. She was the widow of Lawrence M. Wenger, who died in 1995.
A 1958 graduate of Greencastle Antrim High School, Pat had worked as a waitress at the Buckhorn Family Restaurant and the former Dixie Restaurant, now Mrs. Gibble's Restaurant, both of Greencastle.
She is survived by three children, Lawrence "J.R." Wenger (and fiancé, Julie Barthalow) of Mercersburg; Fred (and wife, Rose) Wenger of Needmore; and Pamela Wenger of Mercersburg; two granddaughters, Ashley and Danielle Wenger, both of Greencastle; one sister, Roberta "Bobbi" (Mrs. Ronald) Bowman of Chambersburg; and two step-grandsons, Chase and Curtis Spade.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 in the chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. William Stottlemyer will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
