Wayne Edward "Cubby" Apple, 69 of 1095 Grooms Rd. went to be with the Lord Wednesday September 2, 2015 at Annie Penn Hospital.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday September 5, 2015 in Evergreen Memory Gardens with military rites. Rev. Milton Kennon, Jr will officiate.
A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late John E. and Nina Jackson Apple and had lived in Rockingham County his entire life. A former employee of Burlington Industries, he was a US Navy veteran and was preceded in death by a sister: Shirley Apple Miller and a brother: James Ronald Apple.
Survivors include: a son: Wayne Edward Apple, II and fiancé Shannon Cassady of Ruffin, a sister: Cathy Apple Stone of Reidsville, a sister-in-law: Sandra Moore Apple of Reidsville, and a brother-in-law: James F. Miller of Reidsville, nieces: Rhonda W. Somers and husband Boyd, Jennifer W. Bates and husband Tim, Lynn A. Noetzel and husband Gilbert, nephews: Johnny Wood, Matthew Stone and wife Victoria, Jeff Miller and wife Cindy.
