Judy L. Head, 58, of Paris, formerly of Dallas, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, at St. Paul Medical Center in Dallas.
Funeral services are set for 3:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Starrett-Rose-Roden Funeral Home with the Rev. Mary Franklin and the Rev. Glynn Davis officiating. Interment follows in Restland Cemetery in Cunningham.
She was born July 23, 1948, in Paris, the daughter of O.V. Junior and Bessie Lucille Burkett Head. She graduated from Kimball High School in Dallas, then worked in retail as a department manager, with her last position being with Wal-Mart in Duncanville.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie; and brother-in-law, David Cain.
She is survived by her father, O.V. Junior Head; two sisters, Martha Cain, of Paris and Patricia Gay and husband, Billy, of Garland; a brother, Oscar Van Head, of Dallas; five nieces, Deanna Campbell, Carmen Limon, Lynette Thompson, Jennifer Brinkley and Malaina Brewer; plus numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Brewer, the Rev. David Rucker, the Rev. Allen McCool, Lynette Thompson, Matthew Lindsey and Derik Benedict.
