Funeral services for Mary Maxine Brackett, 84, of Porter, are being held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at the Church of Christ in Porter with Bro. Leon Brashear and Bro. Mike Roberts officiating.
Burial is at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brackett was born on Oct. 27, 1930, in Carey, Texas to George Archie Rich and Georgia Allie (Turrentine) Rich. She died on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, in Porter.
She was a homemaker.
She married Charles Leon Brackett on July 15, 1949, in Seminole, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2009.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Brackett of Canon City, Colo., and Terry Brackett of Porter; one sister, Ora Bell Yocom of Fort Sumner, N.M.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several other family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Thomas Jefferson "TJ" Rich, Miller Hardy Rich, Audie Beatrice Carter, Tommie May Orthman, Edith Velma Emerson, Little Archie Rich, Little Brother Rich, Leata Opal Standefer, Annie Lou Ossalo and Raymond Jack Rich.
Pallbearers are Peter Brackett, Andrew Brackett, Jonah Brackett, Paul Yocom, Stan Yocom and Colton Rice.
