McGrew--Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth McGrew, at the residence of her son, E.W. McGrew, 919 W. Harrison-St., Chicago, March 19. She was born in Ohio Sept 3, 1825. Her father, Marcus Thurman, emigrated with his family to Illinois in 1829, locating at Middle Grove, Knox County. She was married to Charles McGrew Feb. 8, 1844. Her husband died in Kansas City, Mo., July 10, 1892.

She was the mother of seven children, five of whom survive her--namely: M.S. McGrew of Clinton, Ill.; E.W. McGrew, Chicago; J.H. McGrew, La Grange, Ill.; C.L. McGrew, Kansas City, Mo.; and Mrs. W.A. Mack, Kansas, Ill. The remains will be taken to Kansas City for interment."
