Shelley Marriner Wilson

Shelley Marriner Wilson died peacefully on September 2, 2015 at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown.
She was born on February 20, 1932 in Stockton, Maryland, daughter of the late Russell and Madaline (Allen) Marriner.
A graduate of Snow Hill High School, she started her career at Verizon and retired after thirty-two years of faithful service. She was also a dedicated member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Shelley's many passions included her family, traveling with friends, her beloved dog Murphy and finding antique treasures.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Mr. Jeffrey Trader, of Pocomoke, in 2014; a brother, Kenneth R. Marriner; two sisters, Oneida Marriner Parsons and Nelda Marriner Maddox.
She will be dearly missed by her loving husband and best friend of 48 years, Elmer Wilson; two brothers-in-law, Robert Givens and wife Shirley, and Barkley Wilson and wife Helen; a nephew, Mark Parsons, of Salisbury; a niece, Lisa Dorey, of Millsboro; as well as great nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, Del, with visitation after 12:00pm. Burial will be in Harbeson Cemetery. The Rev. Everett Isaacs will officiate.
