Finnish Actor. Born Simo Veli Atte Salminen, he was a comic-actor best known for his many performances in movies and television shows produced by Finnish director and fellow actor Spede Pasanen. He usually played a supporting or relevant secondary character to Pasanen in many of the films. Salminen is best remembered for the role of the luckless mechanic Sörselssön, working at an auto-repair shop with the foul-mouthed Härski Hartikainen (Pasanen) in the "Uuno Turhapuro" film series. His other most well-known performances came in "Spede show" (1968), "Vesku show" (1988) and "Pohjan tähteet" (1969). Prior to acting, Salminen was a master of "clownery swim jumps." He is also known for singing the most famous protest song in Finland called "Rotestilaulu."
