James was born in Artesia, CA to Helen C. Doll and Fred A. Tiffany. He spent his earlier years in the Bellflower/Norwalk, CA areas and worked as a glazier. He met Mary Lou Florrow on a blind date and they were married three months later in Nov. of 1964. They had a son, James E. Tiffany in 1967, and a daughter, Heather R. Tiffany in 1970.

In 1977 he moved his family and newly formed beekeeping business to Bakersfield, CA, where they have remained.

James was preceded in death by both parents and 4 brothers - Ernest, Fred, Ronnie and Terry, He is survived by his loving wife, of over 50 years; his children, grand children - Jacob, Megan Smith (Zack Davenport), Justin Brown, Brooke and Bailee Tiffany; & a great-granddaughter - Ryder; his sisters - Deloris Culbertson and Bonnie Culbertson; a brother - Bud Oakes; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

There will be a viewing Wed. 8/26/15 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, and the services will be Thurs. 8/27/15 at 1:30, both at Mission Family Mortuary, 531 California Ave., Bakersfield, CA; Internment to follow at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery, 2719 Panama Ln., Bakersfield, CA.
