Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. F. Clayburg, pastor of the Methodist Church, at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday at the Wolfe & Gourley funeral chapel. Burial in the Villisca Cemetery. Albert F. Davie, accompanied by Mrs. A. F. Davie at the piano sang for the services and pall bearers were M. L. Overman, Forbes English, Chas Meyerhoff, Wesley VanValkenburg, Glen Henry and Orville Wagaman.
Elizabeth Higgins, daughter of Wilson and Mary Higgins was born in Page County, Iowa on November 19, 1860. She was united in marriage to Martin V. Roth on November 24, 1880 and to them was born one son, Claude.
Mrs. Roth leaves her son Claude of Keosauqua, two brothers, Lum and Chas Higgins, Villisca and two sisters, Mrs. Minerva Higgins and Mrs. Margaret Neal of Villisca, and other relatives and other more distant relatives.
