William Floyd Chastain, aged 80, of Benton died Tuesday. He was a member of the Salem Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; four sons, J. D. and Harold Chastain of Missouri and Floyd and Randall Chastain of Benton; three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Byers and Mrs. O'Retha Cochran of Benton and Mrs. Sue Forrester of California; two brothers, J. M. Chastain of Texas and E. T. Chastain of Little Rock; a sister, Mrs. Allie Moore of New York; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Ashby Funeral Chapel and Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Little Rock. [from the Benton Courier, Thursday, July 21, 1966, page 9A]
