Charlie Stuart Murphy, Jr. 62, of Danville, died September 2, 2015 at his residence. Born May 4, 1953, in Pittsylvania County, he was the son of Charlie S. Murphy, Sr. and Leona Smith Murphy. He was married to Shirley Irvin Murphy, who survives. In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Terrie Irvin and Tosha Irvin; three sisters, Leola Thomas, Belinda Thomas and Janice Petty; he was also predeceased by a brother, Edward Murphy.
Interment will be in Highland Burial Park.
