She was born in Steedman, Mo. on August 15, 1925, the daughter of the late John Arthur Binggeli and the late Mary Jewel (Beatty) Binggeli. On June 27, 1944, she was united in marriage to Donald Rose.
He preceded her in death on February 7, 2005. Don and Peggy lived on a farm near Millersburg for most of their 60 years together. Peggy was a member of Millersburg Christian Church where she was active for many years and served previously as church treasurer for 23 years. She loved her family and her cats, Ellie and Pumpkin, music, playing the piano, baking pies for church dinners, sewing, taking pictures with her digital camera, shopping, and being a good friend to many.
She cherished the new friends she made while living at Fulton Manor.
Peggy is survived by two sons, Dr. David Rose and wife Cheryl of Belleville, Il., and Danny Rose and wife Brenda of Millersburg; four grandchildren, Dr. Shayla Rose (Scott Gerstenecker) of Lake Saint Louis, Matt Rose of Springfield, Meghan Whitworth (Steve) of St. Peters, and Dr. Janna Rose (Dr. Gazi Islam) of Grenoble, France; and ten great-grandchildren, Amiria Harper-Rose, Lauren, Mason, and Kinleigh Rose, Samia Islam-Rose, Taylor, Elise and Anna Gerstenecker, Aidan and Cooper Whitworth.
She shared a special friendship with Shayla, Michael, and Janna's mother, Lynne Ebersole Rose of Lake St. Louis. Along with her husband and parents, Peggy was preceded in death by grandson, Michael David Rose, and sister, Betty Newberry.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Barb Gulick and Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations are suggested to Millersburg Christian Church, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251. Condolences may be left for the family on this site.
