Logan, Arleen J., 78, died Aug. 31. Graveside services 2 p.m. Thursday, Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens (Chapel Hill, Oklahoma City).

Arleen Logan was born August 23, 1937. She was a lover of beautiful flowers and roses. She loved fireworks and every year went to the Tinker Air Force Base to enjoy them. She loved music and the arts. She also loved children, and especially babies. Arleen suffered a long life battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She had a strength about her that was truly an inspiration to all who knew her. She never gave up in her fight for life and living! She was a long time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Among many callings she held within the congregation, she volunteered over 10 years at the LDS Store House where she loved to serve. She was an avid Genealogist and Family History was of deep interest for her. She ran the Genealogy Library for many years in the LDS North Stake Building. Also she spent countless hours and a tenure of over 10 years as a volunteer at Tinker Air Force Base maintaining hospital records. For about two years she drove a semi-truck coast to coast. Education was important to Arleen. She graduated from Trona High School in 1955 of Ridge Crest, Calif. She graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma where she minored in Accounting and acquired a degree in Liberal Arts. In 1989, she graduated from Oklahoma City Community College acquiring an Associates Degree in Science. She attended the University of Central Oklahoma from 1989 to 1992 and received a Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts. Surviving Arleen are her immediate family, her loving and devoted husband, Lynn Welker Logan of Oklahoma City. Her sons, Jim Church of Louisiana, Sean Church of Edmond, OK, Thomas J. Church of Oklahoma City. She has a sister Darlene Bell of Ridge Crest, Calif. Graveside services will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 3, 2015. In lieu of flowers, it is her desire that no flowers be sent. Donations are to be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundaton.
