Lindsey N. Stanton, 20 & Falon J. Hofmeyer, 5 months

Lindsey Nicole Stanton, 20, of Kentland, died at 10:02 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, in the emergency room at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka, Ill. She was struck by an automobile in Kentland while walking with her daughter, Falon Hofmeyer, who died at the scene of the accident.

Born Feb. 25, 1986, to the late Dennis and Collette Stonebarger Stanton in Lafayette, she attended South Newton High School in Kentland and received her graduation equivalency diploma.

Ms. Stanton was a homemaker.

Surviving are her companion, Travis Hofmeyer of Kentland; her brothers, Brandon Stanton and Lucas Stanton, both of Kentland; and a sister, Meggan Stanton of Kentland.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. (CDT) today at McMullan-Stitz Funeral Home, Kentland. Funeral service 11 a.m. (CDT) Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Kentland, the Rev. Robert Bernotas officiating. Interment Fairlawn Cemetery, Kentland. Also surviving are her grandparents, Carolyn and Kenneth Ekstrom of Brook, Art and Wanda Stanton and Robert and Sandra Datzman, all of Kentland; and great-grandparent, Bertha Stanton of Logansport. Falon Jayde Hofmeyer, 5 months, of Kentland, died at 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, in Kentland as a result of injuries sustained when struck by an automobile in Kentland.

She was born Feb. 23, 2006, to Travis Hofmeyer and the late Lindsey Stanton in Rensselaer.

Surviving with her father are her grandparents, Edward and Gloria Hofmeyer, Sherry Hofmeyer and Debra Lape, all of Kentland; great-grandparents, Carolyn and Kenneth Ekstrom of Brook, Art and Wanda Stanton and Robert and Sandra Datzman, all of Kentland; great-great-grandparents, Bertha Stanton of Logansport, Etheleen Hofmeyer of Monticello, Joanne Diedam of Kentland and Beatrice and Dean Bulington of Delphi. Preceded by grandparents, Collette Hesh and Dennis Stanton.
